May 09: Economy, Europe and Emmigrants
Thursday 30th April - Saturday 2nd May
Kinglsey Hotel, Victoria Cross, Cork City.
The political, social and economic fabric of the Ireland has been shaken over the past 12months. Last June, Ireland became hte only country to reject the Lisbon Treaty. Unemployment is soaring and all other economic output indices plummeting. The issue of migration, both inward and outward, is at critical juncture. As a new five-year term for Local Government approached we will take the opportunity to discuss and debate the role and response that Local Government can make in these areas. This seminar should be of interest and benefit to Councillors, Local Government Officials, NGOs and policy makers.
